We’re making 2022 a year of wellness by putting ourselves first, and focusing on all the aspects in our lives that affect our health and happiness.
1. Create goals that matter to you.
Reflect on what matters most to you right now, and base your goals around those things that genuinely mean something to you, that truly inspire you, and that will help you, no one else but you, become the person you want to be.
2. Set goals that are clear and reachable.
Setting clear goals that are actually reachable, creates a path to permanent and meaningful change in your life. Try avoid setting vague or unrealistic goals. Instead of your goal being to lose weight and exercise more, try saying you want to move your body for at lease 30 mins every day, 5 days a week.
3. Create a path to your wellness success.
It’s not enough to just say your goal is to manage stress better, how? How are you going to do this? Try setting out a clear path of smaller tasks that will help reach your goal. For example, you might spend 10 minutes every morning when you wake up doing breathing exercises, and researching and practicing different techniques to manage stressful situations.
4. Develop one healthy habit.
Temporary changes can provide immediate effects, but as soon as you slip back into old routines, the benefits will be lost. Try develop just one healthy habit that lasts a lifetime. For example, waking up early allows you to do whatever it is for yourself, no matter what stage you are at in life, before your day starts and the business takes over.
5. Develop a daily routine and stick to it.
Developing a daily routine helps ensure you have time set aside to exercise, nourish your body, and feed your soul. Make sure to schedule in time to just simply relax, to be present and still.
